What I Do

Preston educated, I read languages at Oxford then joined BP Gas Europe in London, Lisbon and then Brussels in a range of sales, marketing and finance roles. In 1994 I joined MARS with a variety of business development and brand management roles.
In 1998 I moved to Shell as Marketing Manager for different European businesses before becoming UK Business Transformation Director, leading Shell’s biggest ever transformation and culture change programme, supported by Shell UK’s board.

18 months ago I left Shell to pursue my interests in health and education, initially taking up the post of Marketing and UK Recruitment Director at the University of Salford.

I am also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of NHS Manchester Primary Care Trust.
