I lead a team of data analysts to provide project managers with robust data to inform strategic decisions and key recommendations. As the Data Team leader I am responsible for developing data practices and techniques and developing effective systems of data quality assurance.
I have extensive experience in data manipulation and analysis of various datasets including the Individual Learner Record, University for Industry and the Schools Census. I have a high level of expertise in merging data from different sources to meet the information requirements of clients and helped to pioneer the RCU’s highly innovative approaches to analysing post-16 participation. I am also a specialist in using geographical and mapping packages to create participation and census maps for strategic decisions by senior managers.
I joined RCU in 2000 after the completion of my degree. I have worked on a number of high profile national research projects, including the Framework for Excellence and the provision of baseline data on vocational qualifications across the UK.
