Improving Your Bottom Line

The service provides you with a detailed and comprehensive analysis of one or more curriculum areas. It shows how you can improve your bottom line by increasing your market share, re-examining your cost base and identifying opportunities for increasing commercial income.

The detailed curriculum area assessment that underpins it is also valuable for developing collaborative and partnership activity by highlighting your curriculum strengths and weaknesses and those of potential partners.

How does it work?

You identify one or more curriculum areas that would benefit from objective, independent analysis. Using our bespoke curriculum planning model and your ILR data we start by evaluating your current funding on a course by course basis and highlighting any emerging issues.

We then use national ILR returns to identify your college’s market share in your main recruitment area and analyse the results by funding stream, gender, ethnicity, Level of Study and postcode compared to other providers. We also compare your recruitment levels with institutions working in similar parts of the country. The outcome is an analysis of the scope to improve your market share and opportunities for cost savings, quantified in terms of the impact on your bottom line.
