Following the recent ILR data collection from our MiDES member colleges we are delighted to introduce the new Deprivation Profile Analysis Tool.
This new interactive tool provides member colleges with a unique comparison between the deprivation profile of recruitment at their college with the national picture and other selected comparator groups. Users of this new report tool can explore the deprivation profile at local authority district level to see how their recruitment compares to the local resident profile and recruitment by other colleges.
This offers more informed insight into how well your college represents the local community. For instance, the data might show (as in the example below) that your college typically recruits a much higher proportion of learners from the most deprived areas, while learners living in less derived areas are more likely to study elsewhere.
The Deprivation Profile Analysis Tool includes options to compare your college’s deprivation profile by area (for your top 5 local authority districts) as well as by funding stream (16-19 and adult learners), subject area and qualification level and learner characteristics (gender, ethnicity and LLDD).
