RCU is proud to confirm and celebrate the three college finalists for the RCU Support for Students Award, part of the prestigious AoC Beacon Awards 2024. This award recognises outstanding examples of student support within the Further Education sector, celebrating innovation, sustainability, and the impact of exemplary practices that promote equality, diversity, and student progression.
This year’s finalists are:
- Wirral Metropolitan College
- Barnet and Southgate College
- Plumpton College
These colleges have demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting students, ensuring their success through innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships with employers and local communities. Their work reflects a dedication to creating an inclusive curriculum, empowering students to overcome challenges, make informed choices, and thrive in education, and beyond.
The RCU Support for Students Award highlights best practices that transform lives and create a lasting impact. As an organisation, we are committed to recognising and celebrating the achievements of colleges that excel in this area.
The three college finalists will now prepare to host AoC Beacon Award assessor visits in December and January, where their initiatives will be evaluated in detail
The winner will then be revealed at the AoC Beacon Awards ceremony in spring 2024.
