MIDES R13 ILR data collection

We are currently collecting R13 ILR data from all AoC member colleges in order to produce the latest benchmarked GCSE English and maths reports for the sector.

This report provides all participating AoC college members an early summary of GCSE English and maths results from the summer of 2022, based on achievement data included within the R13 ILR returns.

The deadline to upload your college R13 ILR data is Friday 23rd September.

The GCSE English and maths report will be released to participating colleges week commencing 10th October, and will enable colleges to compare results for their own institution with the national MiDES benchmark.

The report will identify and compare data within the following categories:

  • Previously taken GCSE Maths and English grades for all 16-19 funded learners.
  • GCSE English achieved grades, 9-4 pass rates and progress for learners who started with a grade 3/D or 2/E.
  • GCSE Maths achieved grades, 9-4 pass rates and progress for learners who started with a grade 3/D or 2/E.

The GCSE English and Maths report will also be updated in November using the year-end R14 ILR data.

Please note, all ILRs should be anonymised prior to uploading to MiDES. This can be done using the MiDES ILR Anonymiser tool

MiDES is a shared service developed by RCU for the Association of Colleges. AoC member colleges submit their learner data to the secure MIDES data server creating a new sector-owned dataset. This creates a hugely powerful data resource for members that provides unique in-year benchmarking information.
