In-Depth Analysis of Learner Destinations for T Level Students

This research report, commissioned by Gatsby and carried out by RCU provides valuable insights into the progression pathways of T Level students, including higher education, apprenticeships, and employment trends.  

Key findings from the research show: 

  • 28% progressed into employment
  • 11% progressed to an apprenticeship, including degree apprenticeships
  • 47% progressed to higher education (Levels 4-6)
  • 5% progressed to a further education (FE) course
  • 9% had other destinations, including actively seeking work or an apprenticeship, or had taken a gap year

These findings underline the effectiveness of T Levels in preparing learners for further education and employment, as well as the increasing awareness and adoption of T Levels across key sectors. 

As T Levels continue to play a critical role in shaping the future of technical education in England, this research offers key findings that will help education providers, policymakers, and employers better understand the opportunities and challenges facing learners.
